IYD 2021: United and Determined Youths are Nation Builders
I want to rejoice with the Youth across the globe as today been 12th August, 2021 marked the International Youth Day which I see as a day of commemoration and reflection.
Nigerian Youth transition to power, effective participation and inclusiveness in governance has been my focal point and I believe with our collective effort, determination and unity amongst the youth we’ll overcome.
However, the older men in governance has put in place formidable structures headed by youth in some cases and the question is, can we leave the structure and form ours and make it effective and unique?.
More also, youth has been in the front line of political thuggery, banditry, kidnapping politically motivated by old men in governance/politics. “The older men in politics has caused war and it’s the youth fighting it”.
It crystal clear that for youth to take over governance in Nigeria, we must be formidable and united doing away with religion and ethnicity. And believe in” you’re neither from the South nor North but a patriotic Nigerian.
It has become too obvious that Nigerian youth are very active in social media but passive in politics, the media has become an avenue where youth put in their energy to cause chaos and misinform fellow Nigerians. Note, I’m not against social media but must should be use wisely.
Nigerian Youth are intelligent and smart, sadly they’re not in charge of their brain but controlled by people they called LEADER. You must be loyal to your Leader/Boss as long as you serve him but you should also understand that you own your brain and your functions should always be on a honest and sincere basis.
Finally, I employ Patriotic Youth to get PVC, participate in their political ward, study their Local Government political Structures, be focus and determined to make a better Nigeria.
United and Determined Youth are Nation Builders.
